Why one person and not a team

The most common complaint about this industry is not that the work failed. It is that the client never spoke to the same person twice. There are documented cases of a small business going through eight account managers in nine months.

Being one person is not something I am apologising for. It means the person who looked at your site is the person who writes the plan and the person who does the work, and nothing gets lost in a handover that never happens.

It also means I have a limit. When I am full, I am full, and I will say so rather than take the money and stretch.

Where I am up to, honestly

Tropic is new. I work full time elsewhere and I build this at night and on weekends, and I would rather you know that now than find out when a reply takes two days. There is no client list to show you yet, and I am not going to borrow logos or invent case studies to look established.

What I can show you is the work itself. The audit of this very website is published in full, including the things that are still wrong with it.

What I do not do

• Paid ads. Not Google Ads, not Meta. It is a different craft and I am not going to learn it on your budget.
• Social media management. Same reason.
• Online shops, booking systems and anything with a login. Different craft again.
• Cold calling. If you got an email from me it was one email, and there is an unsubscribe on it that works.

How to check any of this

Look up the ABN. Read the published audit and check the numbers against your own tools. Run this website through any speed test you like. Nothing on this page asks you to take my word for it, and that is deliberate.
