Start with the honest part

Nobody can guarantee you a mention in an AI answer. There is no submission form, no ranking factor you can buy, and anyone selling certainty here is selling you something they do not have. What can be done is make your business easy to find, easy to read and easy to quote, which is what these systems draw on.

What actually moves it

• Being mentioned in places the models already read. Brand mentions correlate with citation far more strongly than backlink counts do.
• Answering real questions in plain words. Assistants lift passages that stand on their own. Marketing copy that says nothing gets skipped.
• Structured data that describes what you are, so a machine does not have to guess your trade, your area or your hours.
• Not blocking the crawlers. This one is common and invisible. Plenty of Australian sites block the AI crawlers at the firewall without anyone knowing, and then wonder why they never get named.

Where I will disagree with the market

You do not need a special file, a new page type or a separate product to appear in these features. Google says so in writing. A large share of the sites that added one saw no traffic from it at all. If somebody quotes you for an AI package whose main deliverable is a file in your site root, ask them what evidence they have that it does anything.
