WHAT I COLLECT, AND WHAT I DO WITH IT.
Written in plain words on purpose. If you cannot tell from a privacy page what a business actually does with your details, that is usually the intention.
What gets collected
Only what you type. There are two places on this site that send anything anywhere.
- The quote form on the pricing page. Your trade, whether you have a website, the area you cover, and whatever contact detail you choose to give me.
- The scanner. The website address you type in, so it can be checked.
Nothing else on this site collects anything. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no session recording.
Why there is no cookie banner
Because there is nothing to consent to. This site sets no tracking cookies, so a banner would be theatre.
Worth knowing: Australia does not require the European style consent pop up. The model here is notice based. So when you land on an Australian small business website and it demands consent before you can read it, that usually means somebody installed a template built for another country's law, along with whatever tracking came bundled with it.
Where it goes and who sees it
Into a database I run, and onto a follow up list so I do not forget to reply to you. I am one person, so the honest answer to who has access is: me.
Nothing is sold, rented, shared or passed to a third party for marketing. Not now and not later. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
How long it stays
If we end up working together, as long as the business relationship needs. If we do not, twenty four months, and then it goes.
How to have it deleted
Email [email protected] and ask. No form, no reason required and no retention pitch. I will delete it and confirm in writing within five business days.
The same applies if you want to see what I hold, or if I emailed you and you would rather I did not again.
If I emailed you first
Your business details came from public sources: your own website, public business directories and public map listings. Every email I send has a working unsubscribe, and unsubscribing means the record is marked so it never gets contacted again, not simply hidden from one list.
It is not a legal document drafted by a solicitor, and it does not pretend to be. It is a plain description of what actually happens to your details, which for a business this size is worth more to you than four thousand words of boilerplate that nobody, including the business, has ever read.
ANY OF THAT A PROBLEM?
Email me and ask. Otherwise the next step is the price.
